MyTankGuy is operated by My Guy Enterprises LLC. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you use mytankguy.com, why we collect it, and who we share it with. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@mytankguy.com and a human will answer.
Mobile phone numbers and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
What we collect
When you book a service or sign up as a provider, we collect:
- Your name
- Your service address
- Your email address
- Your mobile phone number
- Your payment method — handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your service history with providers on our platform (what was done, when, and for how much)
Why we collect it
- To create and manage your booking
- To let your service provider do the job (they need your address to drive there)
- To send appointment notifications — confirmations, changes, and receipts
- To send service reminders when your next service is due, if one was set up for you
- To charge the agreed price after the job is completed
Who we share it with
Only who's needed to deliver the service you asked for:
- The service provider matched to your booking — your name, address, phone, email, and job details, so they can perform and coordinate the work.
- Stripe — to process payments securely.
- Email and SMS delivery vendors — as processors acting on our instructions, solely to deliver the notifications described above.
We do not sell your personal information. And to repeat the commitment above: mobile phone numbers and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your booking and service history for as long as your customer record is active, so your provider knows your service schedule and you can rebook easily. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except for records we're legally required to keep (like payment records for tax purposes).
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@mytankguy.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
To stop text messages at any time, reply STOP to any message. To stop reminder emails, use the link in the email or contact us.
Cookies
We use the minimum: a session cookie that keeps service providers signed in to their dashboard. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. For meaningful changes, we'll notify you by email.
